Pulmonary (lung) function test (Spirometry)

The patient blows air through an interchangeable mouthpiece into an apparatus. This test measures the lung volume as well as the force of breathing.

This test is carried out when uncertain breathing difficulties apply, dyspnoea, cough; for the evaluation of the severity of bronchial asthma or for the purpose of therapy of known lung illnesses.
